Empty the Bag: Before starting cleaning, completely empty the diaper bag of its contents, including diapers, bottles and accessories.
Shake and Vacuum: Shake the diaper bag to remove crumbs and dirt. Next, use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum the interior and pockets, making sure to reach all corners.
Wipe Pockets: Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe the inside of pockets and compartments. You can also use a soft brush to remove embedded dirt.
Spot Clean: For stubborn stains, prepare a solution of warm water and mild soap. Dip a clean cloth in this solution, wring it well and gently rub the stain. Rinse the cloth and wipe the area to remove any soap residue.
Hand Wash (if applicable): If your diaper bag is hand washable, fill a large basin with lukewarm water and a little mild soap. Dip the diaper bag in water and gently scrub the stained areas with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Machine Wash (if recommended): If the care label indicates that the diaper bag can be machine washed, be sure to remove any removable accessories, such as changing mats and insulated pouches. Place the bag in a wash bag or pillowcase to protect it, then wash it in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Avoid tumble drying, prefer air drying.
Let Dry: After cleaning, allow the diaper bag to air dry completely, preferably outside, but in the shade. Do not put it in direct sunlight, as this may damage the materials.
